A statue for the Kapla inventor

Favas.net wants to commemorate Tom van der Bruggen, the inventor of the educational building system Kapla, who passed away earlier this month. The system consists of just one type of building block: a sustainable little plank of French pine measuring 117 x 23.4 x 7.8 mm (15:3:1). Favas.net is addicted to the planks because, besides being educational, they are exceptionally stimulating for creative thinking and imagining possibilities. As a design tool, they are ideal for reflecting on incremental planning and our concept of natural growth analogy. Incidentally, Kapla is used as an educational toy in French and Dutch schools. Tom van der Bruggen deserves nothing less than a statue.
